Vitamins and minerals increase non verbal intelligence

In this study, 167 13-year-old children took either a multivitamin and mineral supplement or a placebo. The children kept dietary diaries and were divided into two groups on the basis of their diet (better and poorer diet). The effect of the active supplementation with multivitamin and mineral supplement on non-verbal intelligence was greater in both diet groups, with even a higher improvement in those with a poorer diet than in those with a better diet. This suggests that supplementation with a multivitamin and mineral product such as Pharmaton® Kiddi® has a positive effect on non-verbal intelligence scores, and improves attitude and attention.
